There will be a Full moon in the sign of Aries late tonight for those of us here in CST., or it may fall in the early morning hours of the 16th for you, depending on your time zone. It will be the first Full Supermoon of the year, with one to follow in November and another in December. Of the three, tonight's Full moon is the 3rd closest Full moon to us this year, so there is some debate on whether it is truly a Supermoon... the term is relatively new and varies in interpretation. (A Supermoon is a full or new moon that coincides with the perigee, the moon's closest approach to the earth, thereby resulting in the moon appearing particularly large in the sky.) The closer the moon is to us, the more the energy is amplified, allowing us to feel the already potent Full moon energy on a much deeper and more powerful level.
Something to look forward to....
Our next Full moon, on Sunday night November 13 and into Monday the 14th, will be a true Supermoon, and the closest the moon has been in proximity to Earth since 1948. That means, for a lot of us, it will be the biggest & brightest Full moon we have ever seen! What's more... we will not see another full moon of this magnitude until November of 2034.
